Dear Tiger families,
As we get closer to the start of our Summer Cheer and Football programs and the beginning of our season I wanted to make you aware of some updates.
1. We have a record number of registrations for both football and cheerleading. This tells us people are tired of being pent up, and they are ready to return to the gridiron!
2. Registration is open for Fall Football, Fall Cheerleading, and Summer Sessions for both! Summer session will be the week of June 28th.
3. In January we strongly cautioned you that the pandemic has changed the football and cheerleading landscape on Long Island and we asked you to adjust your expectations as to what this season might look like. The good news is that things are progressing and shaping up to resemble past years. I have decided to return our program to Suffolk County PAL for the fall season however we will not know the exact nature of any changes until all of the towns across the county have registered their teams. Will we have single or combined age groups? Will we have to travel more? Will there be enough teams for divisions as in years past? If so how many teams will be in a division? Will there be any COVID restrictions? These are questions we hope to have answered in the days ahead. We hope that there are single age groups, and that the travel requirements we are accustomed to are similar. We hope that the overall experience is the same as past years, however nothing will be confirmed until the season starts.
4. Our tentative calendar is listed below. Please note it is subject to change especially in the wake of the pandemic. Check our website and social media often for changes and updates.
